Why I'm Here

Inspired by the stories of great missionaries such as David Livingston, Amy Carmichael and Jim Elliot, I knew I wanted to be an evangelist very early on. From the age of seven, I fervently asked the Lord to send me into the mission field, unsure of where I would go or what I would do. I only knew I was willing to go.

In summer of 2025, I went on a short-term mission to serve as a volunteer nurse at Hope Alive Clinic in Cainta Rizal, Philippines to help impoverished pregnant mothers and newborns in the local communities. As I flew over the city of Manila for the first time, I felt that nudge in my spirit: this was His answer to me.

Now I am joining Hope Alive Healthcare long-term, not only as a nurse to provide medical services to those in desperate need, but to represent the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. My desire is to love the lost and to show the captives how they can be set free. I am feeding a physical need in order to satisfy a spiritual hunger--that's why I'm here.
